Butterscotch Sauce

A small jugful
  • 2 oz butter
  • 4 oz soft brown sugar
  • grated zest of one lemon
  • milk
Method/steps
  1. Melt the butter and sugar together.
  2. Stir in the lemon zest.
  3. Bring to the boil and boil for 2 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Add milk until you are happy with the consistency (about 3 tbsps for this quantity).
