Apple & Lemon Scones

  • 1lb SR Flour
  • 1/2 lev tsp salt
  • 4oz butter
  • 3oz caster sugar
  • 1 cooking apple, peeled and chopped
  • grated rind of 1 lemon
  • 1/4pt milk
Method/steps
  1. Rub in fat to flour, add salt and sugar and lemonrind. Mix in apple and add milk to make a soft dough
  2. Roll out with hands and using a 2inch cutter, cut scones and place on lightly greased baking tray
  3. Cook at 200C for 15-18 mins
