  • 185g (6oz) plain flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 45g (1 1/2oz butter or lard
  • 60ml (2 fl oz) water
Method/steps
  1. Preheat oven to 180 c
  2. Grease several baking sheets.
  3. Sift flour, salt and baking powder into a bowl.
  4. Rub in butter.
  5. Add water to form a dough.
  6. Knead on floured surface until smooth.
  7. Roll out very thinly.
  8. Prick well with a fork.
  9. Cut out using a 8cm (3 1/2")cutter.
  10. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until very slightly browned.
