- 10oz plain flour
- 3 level tspn baking powder
- 4oz caster sugar
- 6oz dates, chopped
- 1 medium egg
- 7 fl oz milk
- 6 tbsp sunflower oil
- zest & juice of 1 orange
Method/steps
- Sift flour & baking powder.
- Add remaining ingredients and mix.
- Spoon into paper cases and bake for 15-18 minutes till risen & firm
- Gas mark 6
- 200°C / 180°C fan
