Green Tomato Chutney

  • 4lb of tomatoes
  • 1pt of vinegar
  • 1lb of sugar
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 cooking apple
  • 1 chilli
  • 1 tablespoon of mixed spice
Method/steps
  1. Cut up your tomatoes & put them in a large pan.
  2. Pour in the vinegar & add the apple, onion & chilli & then the sugar.
  3. Bring to the boil & then simmer until reduced which will probably be about about an hour to two hours stirring it regularly & keeping an eye on it.
  4. Pour into sterilised jars and seal.
