Friulian Style Turnips

Description Sweet and sour turnip thing, good with roasts.

  • 800g young turnips, peeled and diced
  • 1tbsp caster sugar
  • 70g butter
  • 3tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 1tbsp flour
  • 250ml hot chicken stock
  • S&P
Method/steps
  1. Melt sugar and butter together in a pan, allow to caramelize a bit.
  2. Add turnip, stir and cook for about 10 minutes.
  3. Add vinegar, S&P and flour.
  4. Stir gently then gradually add the stock.
  5. Cook until turnip is tender.
Additional Tips
You can use Marigold stock if you're feeding veggies.
