Editorial March 2010

Written by Chez

March - the time to be setting eggs under hens, or building your own incubator; sorting out the plot for spring and planning ahead to what you will be making people for Christmas, if you are as slow as I am at it.

Now that the rain is showing signs of stopping, it should become possible to get out and about for some foraging without needing waders. And despite it being a bit of a betwixt-and-between month produce-wise, there are still plenty of things available to make wine out of.

And, of course, March is the start of Spring. Spring cleaning is, in some people's opinion, good for the soul. I find it an unbelievable chore - but once you have got rid of your unwanted clutter by freecycling or freegling, recycling or charity-shopping it, it's much easier to keep your house clean with home-made washing gel, soap and even fill it with nice smells.

Finally, remember Easter is coming early in April. Home made chocolates are the way to celebrate!
